The Transalp was probably the best all-round motorcycle I've ever had, and I really miss it. The most charismatic was probably my XT600 Tenere. Since writing these pages I've been through a Suzuki Bandit 600 (OK), a VFR800 (brilliant), a Suzuki DR650 (horrible), yet ANOTHER XT600 (naily!), a TT600R (grotesquely awful) and (still current) an Africa Twin.
